We’re pleased to announce that registration is open for our spring Speech-language Group Therapy. Our social communication groups are designed to help children, teens, and adults with ASD, ADD, ADHD, and acquired brain injury develop the skills necessary to communicate in social contexts.
In group therapy we work on the development of the important aspects involved in forming social relationships through the development of language and social communication skills. You can find more information about the value of supplementing individual therapy with groups here.
Our groups are designed to build upon the skills and goals that are introduced during individual therapy. They are fun, play-based sessions, involving stories, games and structured activities. While it is a group environment, the groups are carefully formed so that each member will benefit, and we target individual goals within the group context.
Beginning April 11 we are offering two 6 -week Social Communications groups in Richmond Hill.
- Early Years Group (age 4-6)
- The Meet-Up for teenagers and Young Adults
The cost of the groups is covered by most insurance plans, so check with your administrator to confirm coverage.
