Both TSTCC and ABI are industry leaders known for providing decades of evidence-based, gold standard treatment in their respective disciplines.  We are pleased to be able to bring together our expertise to provide more comprehensive collaborative care.

“It brings us great joy to be able to offer our clients and families a more comprehensive menu of treatment options, and the confidence that the Therapy they receive will continue to be of the utmost standard of excellence.  By working together, we hope to create a circle of care for your loved one where they will benefit, and thrive while having access to (both) a multidisciplinary (and interdisciplinary?) Team of experts.”

ABI has been serving Ontario families for 27 years and is the oldest and most established provider of in-home and community-based ABA in the GTA. ABI is an approved OAP provider.

ABI is known for the expertise of their therapists and the satisfaction of their Families.  Experience and skill matter when it comes to treating children with exceptionalities and translates into better outcomes.

Lisa Israel is the owner and Clinical Director at ABI. She is a Registered Nurse and Board Certified Behaviour Analyst, and also a psychotherapist. She is very passionate about working with children and youth and has done so for over 30 years.  Lisa believes that all therapy begins at the place where the values of joy, engagement and mutual respect meet. Lisa has built ABI’s student and professional culture with this vision in mind.  As the Founder of the oldest in-home and community provider of ABA in the province of Ontario, she takes pride in ABI being recognised as an industry leader in providing evidence-based treatment for individuals with disabilities and their families.

Lisa has had the privilege of helping to create the Inclusion Program at the Schwartz Reisman Center.  This unique program has helped to provide recreational programs for children and youth diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders all across the GTA. Additionally, Lisa has taught at the college level and authored a manual for coaching and training parents using the principles of ABA. Lisa continues to enjoy providing consultation on school advocacy, human rights for persons with disabilities and front-line care at ABI.
